Product Information:
A dual thread screw ideal to secure IBR or corrugated sheeting to metal roof structures.
The dual thread shank drills through the IBR sheeting and at the point where it starts to drill through the metal structure below; the break in thread allows it to spin in the sheeting while it drills into the structure. The small top section of thread keeps the sheeting intact and prevents movement.
Usage Instructions:
The product requires a power tool and a nutsetter to complete installation.
Drill slower than 1,500 rpm.
Hold the power drill at a 90 degree angle.
Do not drill the tek screw through a welded joint.
Choose the correct length screw: the screw should be able to drill through the object and substrate and grip a sufficient amount through the substrate.
The drilling point must be long enough to completely drill through the material before the thread engage.
Alternative Uses:
Can be used for general metal construction due to the self cutting steel point.
Combined metal thickness should not be thicker than 5mm.
