Alcolin Contractors Silicone is a contractors grade silicone sealant with fungicide for use on non-porous surfaces. Not suitable for fishtanks as it contains a fungacide to prevent mould growth. Available in white, clear, black, grey and bronze.
Uses / Applications: Ideal for sealing, bonding, and mending in cars, boats and caravans Sealing in homes Flexible at temperatures as low as -40°C Heat resistance up to +120°C Good adhesion Waterproof – suitable for internal and external applications Excellent UV resistance and durability, Unaffected by alcohols, dilute acids and alkalis, soap and household detergents, Excellent colour fastness; clear grades are non yellowing.
Other Information: Not suitable for alkaline surfaces such as concrete, fibrous cement, etc as the product releases acetic acid during curing. Not suitable for some metals such as lead andgalvanized iron, etc as it may cause corrosion, May discolour when coming into contact with some organic elastomers, It should not be used on the back of mirrors, as this will cause the silver coating to discolour. Not suitable for contact with marble and similar natural stone as it may discolour the surfaces, Will not adhere to some plastics such as polyethylene, polypropylene and Teflon. CANNOT be over-painted NOT SUITABLE FOR FISH TANKS (contains a fungicide) Do not apply sealant when relative humidity is below 10% – cure rate will be retarded.
